CANANDAIGUA - Roseland Bowl and members of the Canandaigua USBC Bowling Association recently presented approximately $17,500 to UR Medicine’s Thompson Health for its Breast Health Patient Navigation Program, which provides support and coordination assistance for a wide variety of services for those diagnosed with breast cancer.
The money was raised at the 6th Annual Bowl for the Cure held on Feb. 7 and Feb. 8 of this year. Since its inception, the event has raised more than $90,000 for Thompson’s breast cancer awareness and education programs. With the scheduled opening of Thompson’s new Breast Imaging Center, future funding will continue to benefit the Breast Health Patient Navigation Program as it has in past years, in its new location. Scheduled to open in 2015, the new center will offer patients private access to all breast imaging services, with same-day testing and results available, and convenient access to the Breast Health Patient Navigation Program team for the appropriate professional, financial, spiritual and emotional support essential for well-being.
