CANANDAIGUA – Three downtown merchants and an anonymous donor are involved with three different fundraisers for Thompson Health, all with the same goal – to help fund the new Women’s Health and Wellness Center scheduled to open in 2014.
Wildflowers in Canandaigua is raffling off a Vera Bradley handbag. The colorful purse is called the Weekender and it’s from Bradley’s Ribbon Collection. The raffle runs through Dec. 23 and tickets are $5 each or three for $10. Visit Wildflowers at 88 South Main St., call (585) 396-9420 or e-mail wildflowerspost@gmail.com for more information or to buy a raffle ticket.
The Country Ewe, located at 79 South Main St. in Canandaigua, is donating the markup on every Coobie bra sold from Oct. 1 through Dec. 31. While Coobies can be worn by anyone, they are especially beneficial to women undergoing chemotherapy, mastectomy or reconstructive surgery. Coobies are also compatible with prosthetics. For more information contact The Country Ewe at (585) 396-9580 or www.countryewe.com.
An anonymous donor is contributing $1 for every full-sized bottle of oil or vinegar purchased during December at F. Oliver’s Oils & Vinegars, 129 S. Main Street in Canandaigua. For more information, visit www.folivers.com.
“All of us at Thompson Health send our sincere appreciation to everyone involved with these fundraisers,” said Anita Pietropaolo, F.F. Thompson Foundation Director of Development. “It’s a joy to see the community support Thompson Health in such creative ways.”
