CANANDAIGUA – “Mastering Pediatric and Adolescent Anxiety: A Three-Pronged Approach” is the title of a Thursday, June 7, community presentation hosted by UR Medicine Thompson Health at the Inn on the Lake, 770 S. Main St. in Canandaigua.
Dr. Molly Scharf of Thompson Health’s Lima Family Practice and Dr. Jim Wallace, an associate professor of psychiatry and pediatrics at the University of Rochester Medical Center, are leading the presentation. Both are involved with ProjectTEACH, a program funded by the NYS Office of Mental Health. The program works to strengthen and support the ability of pediatric primary care providers to deliver care to children and families who experience mild-to-moderate mental health concerns, such as anxiety, ADHD, depression and aggression.
Check-in and refreshments are at 5:30 p.m., with the presentation from 6 to 7:30 p.m.
Registration is required for the event, which is part of the “Straight from the Expert” series offered by Thompson’s Wellness Hub program.
