CANANDAIGUA – Ferris Hills at West Lake will host UR Medicine Home Care’s annual Caring for the Caregiver Conference on Thursday, Oct. 26, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., with registration beginning at 8 a.m.
This conference is designed to give both family and professional caregivers a break from daily routines, with information and suggestions about providing care and support.
Maureen McGuire, evening anchor for WROC in Rochester, is the keynote speaker for the event, which this year has a theme of “What Does Comfort Mean to You?”
With a welcome from Thompson Health Vice President of Long-Term Care Amy Daly and opening remarks from retired Col. Michael J. Healy, other speakers will include:
- Marcia Sweet, CDR Pooled Trust
- Adam Cardina, MD, Ontario-Yates Hospice Medical Director
- Russ Kenyon of Kenyon & Kenyon (elder law and estate planning)
- Jan DiDuro, Ontario-Yates Hospice Bereavement & Volunteer Coordinator
- David DiFranco and Ralph Tetta, Combat Comedians
