PENN YAN – Central New York Classic Cruisers will hold “Cruisin’ for a Cause” Classic Car Cruise-In on Saturday, June 21, at Torrey Ridge Winery, 2770 State Route 14 in Penn Yan.
Held in memory of Marty Pierson, who owned Marty’s Chop Shop in the Ontario County hamlet of Hall, the event will run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. In addition to cars and motorcycles on display, it will feature music, a “barbecue bonanza” from a CNYCCC grillmaster, door prizes, and 50/50 raffles from noon to 3 p.m.
The rain date for “Cruisin’ for a Cause” is June 22, and in the event of inclement weather, those wishing to attend can check www.cnyclassiccruisers.webs.com for updates.
Proceeds from the event will support the Sands Cancer Center on the Thompson Health campus in Canandaigua. Pierson, who died in June 2011, supported the cancer center with fundraisers he held in memory of a friend from 2008 through 2010.
