CANANDAIGUA – Join the Canandaigua USBC Bowling Association in its effort to support finding a cure for breast cancer by taking part in the eighth annual Bowl for the Cure on Friday, Feb. 5 and Saturday, Feb. 6 at Roseland Bowl in Canandaigua.
Anyone is welcome to participate in Bowl for the Cure either night, but five-person teams with corporate sponsors are invited to take part in Corporate Challenge Night on Friday, with registration beginning at 5 p.m. and bowling beginning at 6:30 p.m. Entertainment by Flint Creek will start at 8 p.m., and teams raising $500 or more will be eligible to compete door prizes, as well as for the Corporate Cup.
Bowl for the Cure continues on Saturday, when registration begins at 3 p.m. and bowling starts at 4:30 p.m., with Flint Creek providing entertainment beginning at 7 p.m.
Both Friday and Saturday, a minimum donation of $25 allows each participant to bowl three games and includes ball and shoe rental.

Proceeds from Bowl for the Cure benefit the Breast Health Navigation Program offered by the new Breast Imaging Center at UR Medicine’s Thompson Health and the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
Of the more than $21,000 raised at the 2015 Bowl for a Cure, the majority stayed local, with $3,000 donated to Komen and the remaining $18,500 donated to Thompson’s Breast Health Navigation Program. The program provides support and coordination assistance for a variety of services to local women diagnosed with breast cancer.
