Roseland Bowl and members of the Canandaigua USBC Bowling Association raised a record $20,000 for Thompson Health’s Sands Cancer Center at the 4th Annual Bowl for the Cure, held on Friday, Feb. 10, and Saturday, Feb. 11.
Since its inception four years ago, the event has raised more than $52,000 for the Center’s breast cancer awareness and education programs. As in past years, the funds are designated for the Breast Health Patient Navigation Program, which provides free breast health screenings as well as support and assistance with coordinating a wide variety of services for those diagnosed with breast cancer.
More than 230 participants, 37 sponsors and 84 business contributors helped make the event a success. A total of 23 teams participated in the Corporate Challenge on Friday night, with first place going to Bristol Trading Post.
