Community Invited to Tree of Lights Ceremony

CANANDAIGUA – The Thompson Health Guild will hold its annual “Tree of Lights” tree-lighting ceremony at 7 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 5, by the front entrance of UR Medicine’s Thompson Hospital, 350 Parrish St.

CANANDAIGUA – In partnership with Foodlink, UR Medicine’s Thompson Health is once again hosting
a Mobile Food Pantry on Friday, Nov. 4, from 4 to 6 p.m.

The pantry will offer perishable foods, free of charge, to those in need. These items will include breads, fresh

FARMINGTON – After several in September and early October, UR Medicine’s Thompson Health has scheduled an additional flu shot clinic for Tuesday, Nov. 1, from 3 to 7 p.m. at HealthWorks in the Thompson Medical Center at 1160 Corporate Drive in Farmington.

Administered to those 9 and older at this clinic, the 2016-17 vaccine provides protection against two type B flu viruses and two type A, including H3N2 and H1N1.

Gala Nets More than $125,000 for Thompson

CANANDAIGUA – The annual Gala hosted by UR Medicine’s Thompson Health recently raised more than $125,000 to benefit upcoming renovations at Thompson Hospital in Canandaigua.

Held Sept. 9 at the Inn on the Lake in Canandaigua, the sold-out event had more than 300 people in attendance, with Southern barbecue fare as well as music by The Skycoasters.
