Rose Walk Proceeds Top $20,000

CANANDAIGUA –The 22nd annual Rose Walk raised more than $20,000 in net proceeds for the cardiac rehabilitation program at UR Medicine Thompson Health, bringing the total amount raised by this event over the years to more than $287,000.

Over $13K Raised for Local Cancer Patients

NAPLES – The 13th annual Margery Coughlin Pawluk Golf Tournament recently raised more than $13,000 for the Margery Coughlin Pawluk Cancer Patient Needs Fund. This fund helps patients of the Sands Center Center – on the Thompson Health campus in Canandaigua – who are undergoing active treatment and have identified financial constraints in dealing with the unexpected costs of a long illness.

Thompson Now Offering Hereditary Cancer Risk Screenings

CANANDAIGUA – Research shows certain risk factors can increase the chances of developing cancer. Some of these factors, such as tobacco use, can be controlled. Others – like age and family history – are beyond our control, so UR Medicine Thompson Health is now offering cancer genetic testing to help area residents and their physicians make more informed decisions while taking a personalized, proactive approach to health care.
