CANANDAIGUA – UR Medicine Thompson Health President/CEO Michael F. Stapleton, Jr. announced this week the appointment of Mary Schneiter as the new director of the F.F. Thompson Foundation, the fundraising arm of the nonprofit organization.

CANANDAIGUA – The 17^th annual Tour de Thompson raised almost $4,100 for Rehabilitation Services patients of UR Medicine Thompson Health, bringing the total amount generated by the annual event to more than $51,000, to date.

CANANDAIGUA – The 18th annual Crosswinds 5K will be held Saturday, Aug. 31, at Crosswinds Wesleyan Church, 3360 Middle Cheshire Road in Canandaigua.

CANANDAIGUA – The F.F. Thompson Foundation announced today the receipt of a $500,000 gift from the Wegmans Family Foundation. The gift will help build an expanded intensive care unit (ICU) and pulmonary medicine clinic set to open at UR Medicine Thompson Hospital in the spring of 2020.

CANANDAIGUA – On Wednesday, Aug. 7, the Thompson Health Guild will host a fashion show and evening cocktail reception at Sonnenberg Gardens & Mansion State Historic Park, 151 Charlotte St. in Canandaigua.

NAPLES – The 14^th annual Margery Coughlin Pawluk Golf Tournament recently raised more than $13,000 for the Margery Coughlin Pawluk Cancer Patient Needs Fund. This fund helps patients of the Sands Center Center – on the Thompson Health campus in Canandaigua – who are undergoing active treatment and have identified financial constraints in dealing with the unexpected costs of a long illness.

CANANDAIGUA –The 23rd annual Rose Walk raised almost $14,000 in net proceeds for the Cardiac Rehabilitation program at UR Medicine Thompson Health, bringing the total amount raised by this event over the years to more than $300,000.

VICTOR — The fifth annual Thompson Health Golf Classic, held on June 3 at Cobblestone Creek Country Club in Victor, netted approximately $62,000 to support a new, 12-bed intensive care unit (ICU) as well as an expanded Pulmonary Medicine Clinic at UR Medicine Thompson Hospital.
