CANANDAIGUA, N.Y. – The 12th Annual Better Life 6K will be held Sunday, April 27 at Thompson Health Family Practice, 53 West Main St., Victor. This year’s race will honor local running advocate William Murphy.
Registration for the 6K run is $15 for entries postmarked before April 16, and $20 for entries postmarked after that date. Registration will also be held on the day of the race from 7:30-8:45 a.m. The race starts at 9 a.m. Due to road construction, a new 6K course will start and finish on Adams Street. Awards will be given to the overall male and female winners, to the male and female Masters winners and to the top male and female finishers in 16 different divisions. The race features timing and results by PCR using the DAG System, traffic control and time splits. The first 150 registrants receive a commemorative race t-shirt. Refreshments will be available to all runners, walkers and volunteers immediately following the event.
All proceeds from the event benefit Thompson Health. Participants who raise $250 or more in donations will receive a free pair of Pearl Izumi Float II or Pace II running shoes. For more information call 585-396-6155 or visit
