“Thompson Tough”: These two words became our rallying cry early in the COVID-19 pandemic and hold true today, as our nonprofit community health system continues rising to each challenge we encounter.
Founded well over a century ago in response to our community’s needs, Thompson is continually building upon a rich legacy of care, raising the bar ever higher in order to deliver an exceptional level of service to people of all ages.
We invest in our associates, we empower them, and we celebrate them. Thanks to these high-caliber individuals, there is much to be proud of.
For example, our hospital is among only 8 percent of hospitals in the world to achieve Magnet designation from the American Nurses’ Credentialing Center. This achievement, the result of meeting a multitude of rigorous standards, is in recognition of nursing excellence. Along with numerous distinctions from The Joint Commission, the Surgical Review Corporation and other respected organizations, this lets our patients know they can expect extraordinary quality.
As we look forward to future growth, we are fortunate to have not only an incredible team, but the support of those we serve. These two things are critical to our success and we never lose sight of their importance, nor can we take for granted the many benefits offered through our affiliation with UR Medicine, an affiliation marking its 10th year in 2022.
