Thompson Clinic

The Thompson Clinic is open to individuals regardless of insurance status and, for those eligible, cost is determined based on a sliding fee scale. Some of the short-term health care services available at the clinic are:

•    Upper respiratory infections
•    Sinusitis
•    Bronchitis
•    Environmental allergies
•    Sore throats
•    Ear infections
•    Conjunctivitis
•    Bladder infections in adults
•    Minor burns
•    Minor wounds not requiring sutures
•    Return to work notes (less than 5 days)
•    Pregnancy testing
•    Minor rashes
•    Glucose testing
•    Tendonitis, bursitis, and muscular
       aches and strains
•    Most camp or sports physicals

Please note that the Clinic is not a substitute for a relationship with a primary care physician.

In order to ensure appropriate care, some examples of what we can not treat at the Clinic are: conditions requiring an x-ray or laboratory work, no controlled substances will be prescribed for any condition, no medications will be dispensed or administered, no prescriptions for mental health conditions, work-related injury or illness, care for children less than 2 years old or prenatal care.

The Thompson Clinic provides short-term care for those who find themselves with nowhere else to turn for medical care. Patients needing ongoing care or care not provided at the Clinic will be referred to a CCIA/Catholic Charities caseworker.
